BACKGROUND Mercy Aged Care Services is sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy Brisbane Congregation. The Service provides residential aged and community care in the North Brisbane region. The Service operates modern facilities at Nudgee and Wooloowin. Mercy Aged Care Services is recognised for its innovative best practice in dementia care, care for people ageing with intellectual disability, palliative care and specialised clinical care. Under the care staffing model all registered nurses are employed at Level 2 and above and have responsibility for the management of holistic resident care. Care staff must have a capacity to understand and enact the philosophy of the service, have sound communication and teamwork skills and excellent clinical skills.
